The World At Night (TWAN) is an international program to produce and present stunning photographs and time-lapse videos of the world's landmarks against the celestial attractions, from the magnificent Milky Way above Amazon or deserts of Chile to starry sky of Arizona, and celestial wonders above heritages of Asia. Wide-angle TWAN photos have been used by astronomy educators world-wide as they educate viewers on many fundamental aspects of practical astronomy such as the natural look of sky, constellations, celestial motions, and sky events.
TWAN is a program by Astronomers Without Borders and it has been designated by UNESCO and IAU as a Special Project of the International Year of Astronomy 2009. However TWAN will continue for much further future.
Now continuing in Linz/AUSTRIA at Ars Electronica Center (AEC) a technical very well equipped museum of the future. The technical heart of this facility is the so called "Deep Space". It's a world wide unique system. Eight 1080p HD- and Active Stereo-capable Barco Galaxy NH12 projectors, combined with the programmingpower of AEC-programmers team are producing stunning shows sometimes in 3D. This equipment is periodically used as a UNIVIEW-3D-Planetarium too.

Additional there is the possibility to expand the pictures to the floor and breathtaking pictures 16:18 meter can be presented.
All these features will be used to present the 1st DIGITAL-TWAN-PICTURE-SHOW. Stars and landscapes, time lapse videos with raising and setting stars as big as never seen before. Breathtaking views from UNESCO heritage places and the most beautiful landscapes of the world combined with the sparkeling and twinkling beauty of the stars. Incredible views you will never forget, combined with great sound and music make this show to a once in a lifetime experience.
International guests are expected and welcomed. TWAN director Babak Tafreshi will open the exhibition.
