ASV Annual Messier Star Party 2010.

This is the Astronomical Society of Victoria’s annual Star Viewing event where we look at the night sky through various telescopes as well as various activities during the Afternoon, including Solar Observing. The 25” ASV Obsession is also available for viewing.
The ASV's Leon Mow Dark Sky Site (LMDSS), Heathcote. Take the Hume Highway (route 31) north of
Melbourne. Take the Wallan/Kilmore/Bendigo turnoff (Northern Hwy route 75) and travel to Heathcote.
At the end of the town turn right to go to Echuca/Elmore (Northern Hwy route 75). Travel approx. 12.5
km and turn left at Lewis Rd. Signs will be put up by 11am - follow the signs the rest of the way to the
site. It usually takes between 1.5 - 2 hours to get to the LMDSS from Melbourne.
