Mark your calendars now for the 1st annual Big Bend Star Party, which will take place at Sierra la Rana October 7-9, 2010. The Big Bend Star Party will be sponsored by the National Public Observatory and Sierra la Rana. The three day event will include participation from amateur astronomers from around the world, on-site camping and presentations from a number of astronomers. Saturday night, October 9, participants will be hosting a "West Texas Friendly" public star party from dusk to 11:00 p.m. More details for this three day event will be coming your way the first week of June.
