Central European Deepsky Imaging Conference (CEDIC'11)
March 18, 2011 @ 12:00 am - March 20, 2011 @ 12:00 am EDT
The CEDIC (Central European Deepsky Imaging Conference) was held for the first time in 2009. It was the first astronomical imaging conference throughout Europe. Information and communication across local borders was the main focus of this event.
Because of the great success of the conference in 2009, we decided to host another CEDIC in 2011 (it was planned to organize a CEDIC every two years from the very early idea of this conference). Also we have some new ideas for 2011. For example we plan to do workshops in addition to the sessions this time.
Conference opening of CEDIC '11 will take place on March 18th 2011 - 19:30 at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz, Austria. As in 2009 the opening event will be public and everyone is invited to join a unique, never seen multimedia presentation at the Deep Space of the Ars Electronica Center. The main theme of the presentation will be announce in the near future, but one thing is already certain today: It will be astronomy PURE!
