Where the Park Meets the Sky – Nocturnal Sights and Sounds at the Telescope
Join us as we view and listen to many of the sights and sounds that you may hear during your observing sessions. We’ll be talking about nocturnal birds, mammals, insects and frogs, as well as viewing a few astrophotographs made memorable by a connection with the natural world. Hopefully we’ll give you a few things to listen for while you’re observing here at Pickett-Pogue International Dark Sky Park. We find that knowing a few natural sights and sounds really adds to our enjoyment of the night sky.
There are 3 different fees to choose from for the Dark Sky Celebration Weekend:
If you only want to attend the stargazing on Friday and Saturday night , the fee is $5.
If you want to attend the lectures, stargazing, and Saturday night dinner only, the fee is $25.
If you want to attend everything including meals on Saturday and Sunday breakfast, and stay in the group camp, the fee is $50.
