IAYC 2015 – International Astronomical Youth Camp
August 2, 2015 - August 22, 2015
The IAYC is a three-week-long astronomical camp aimed at bringing young people around the world together in order to gain experience in the fields of astronomy, physics, and astrophysics. During the three weeks, participants are required to do a small research project depending on their Working Group. Each Working Group is focused on a specific field of astronomy (such as observational astronomy, computational physics, etc). The Working Group leaders provide projects for every level, from beginner astronomer to university level astrophysics. It is expected that participants work on these projects during the two planned working group sessions each day. Outside of these sessions there is plenty of time for participants to observe with the many telescopes provided. Breakfast is served at midday to allow us to get the most out of each night.
