Upcoming Astronomy Events
As a service to our community, Sky & Telescope lists astronomy-related events, including star parties, observatory public nights, astronomy talks, and more. Star parties offer dark skies and astronomical fellowship and often cater to families and feature special activities for kids. Public nights give the general public a chance to view the sky through large telescopes, and public talks are a great place to learn the fundamentals of the science and the craft.
You’ll also see online events offered here.

Public Observing at Cygnus Observatory
February 15, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm GMT
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Sunday and Thursday, repeating until April 30, 2018
Members of the public are invited to join enthusiastic members of Sunderland Astronomical Society for an evening of stargazing and observing through their large aperture telescopes. If you need assistance with your own telescope you are welcome to bring it along. These events are held every Thursday through the observing season and are dependent primarily on the weather.
