Public Stargazing at Glacial Lakes State Park
May 7, 2011 @ 12:00 am - October 1, 2011 @ 12:00 am EDT
Glacial Lakes Astronomers and Stargazers Society (GLASS) hold a public stargazing event the first Saturday of every month, weather permitting. The event is held at the Horse Camp area at Glacial Lakes State Park, which is about 3 miles directly south of Starbuck and about 1/2 hour south of Alexandria. This is an ideal location for amateur astronomy, as the closest town over 2000 people is 20 minutes away - very good skies! Visit the GLASS website, http://glass.glaciallakesmn.com, for details.
