Our Keynote Speaker on Saturday night is David Levy — David H. Levy is an astronomer, science writer and discoverer of comets and minor planets, who co-discovered Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9 in 1993, which collided with the planet Jupiter in 1994. His talk will be entitled “Talk, Text & Tunes: A Nightwatchman’s Journey.”
Our 2018 Imaging Workshop will be led by Bryan Cogdell — Bryan Cogdell is an astro-photographer & telescope expert with 18 years’ experience in the consumer telescope industry. Bryan is currently Product Manager for astronomical telescope products at Meade Instruments. He specializes in “weekend warrior imaging” and is always traveling to the best dark skies. He has given night sky tours & astrophotography talks around the world, and has recently been a featured speaker at the Sequoia National Park Dark Sky Festival and the Northeast Astro-Imaging Conference. Bryan loves sharing his knowledge & enthusiasm with others. You can find some of his work here on stellarscapes.net.
General admission for adults is $50 and includes entry to the conference grounds for five days (Thursday through Monday) and camping for four nights (Thursday through Sunday nights). Meals and dormitory lodging are not included. Admission is free for children 17 and under.
People coming for a single day (or any part thereof) may pay for a Single Day Admission, which is $30 for adults. Single Day Admission does not include camping, meals, or dorm lodging. Day Users arriving after 9 AM Saturday will be directed to special parking areas. Admission is free for children 17 and under.
Dormitory space is available for $16 for adults and free for children 17 and under, for four nights (Thursday through Sunday nights). This does not include admission or meals, which must be purchased separately.
