Southwest Astronomy Festival
September 7, 2018 - September 9, 2018
Join us for the 2nd annual Southwest Astronomy Festival. The Southwest Astronomy Festival is coordinated by the Cedar Breaks National Monument and Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, with additional support from organizations within the community. Together, we provide a series of events that focus on astronomy, dark sky preservation, and having fun in the great outdoors. Through star parties, sun parties, and many other activities, we seek to foster a relationship between the community and the night sky.
The Southwest Astronomy Festival hosts a variety of events throughout the Southwest Utah/Northern Arizona area. Events typically start in the morning (around 9 am) and later events are held at night (lasting past midnight). This goes on for 3 days (in this case September 7-9, 2018) and is an annual event. This is our second annual Southwest Astronomy Festival.
