
STEM in the Sky Astronomy Series: Solar Viewing Event

The NASA Wallops Flight Facility Visitor Center and its partner the Delmarva Space Sciences Foundation will host the second installment of the STEM in the Sky Astronomy Series on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 1 – 3 p.m. The series will continue with exploration of the Sun.
Drop-in solar telescope viewing, sun-themed movies, hands-on activities and crafts also will be available throughout the event. The event is free and open to the public. The event will take place regardless of weather; however, the telescope viewing and constellation tour are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
The STEM in the Sky Astronomy Series will continue in 2017 with exploration of Jupiter in May, and ending with the Solar Eclipse in August.
