Super Stellar Friday: “X-Ray Eyes on the Universe: Chandra”
March 5, 2010 @ 12:00 am EST
Since its launch in July 1999, Chandra has been exploring the most violent places in the Universe, such as exploding stars, black holes and X-ray jets, with the clearest X-ray eyes ever flown. Dr. Belinda J. Wilkes, Assistant Director of the Chandra Observatory, will guide you through dramatic pictures and exciting new discoveries made both in the X-rays alone and in combination with observations in other wavebands.
Following the program will be a FREE Skywatch outside with the New Hampshire Astronomical Society. Telescope viewing begins at 7 PM.
