As a service to our community, Sky & Telescope lists astronomy-related events, including star parties, observatory public nights, astronomy talks, and more. Star parties offer dark skies and astronomical fellowship and often cater to families and feature special activities for kids. Public nights give the general public a chance to view the sky through large telescopes, and public talks are a great place to learn the fundamentals of the science and the craft.

ARIS, Sri Lanka , Old Anandians Astronomical Association, The Astronomy Teachers and Star Party Group collaborately join as resource parties in the Astronomy Night camp and Olympiad training programme organized by Anuradhapura Central College, Sri Lanka on 27th of May 2023. It will be a total 15-hour overnight camp for Sri Lankan school students in the Anuradhapura district which is far away from the capital of the country. The objective of this camp will be improving the Astronomy-related knowledge and hands-on skills related to the field Astronmy among the school children in an area of Sri Lanka (Anuradhapura) which is located away from the Capital of the country. Another objective will be to help a group of students to prepare for the Sri Lanka national olympiad examination (SLAAO).
