Things that go Bump in the Night
January 11, 2014 @ 12:00 am EST
Things that go Bump in the Nights presented by astronomer Larry Wasserman. Celestial bodies sometimes approach one another. When they do, one may partially pass in front of, or transit, the other, cast a shadow on, or eclipse, the second body, or even completely cover, or occult, the latter. These events can teach us quite a bit about the bodies involved.
This presentation is part of the monthly meeting of the Coconino Astronomical Society. Admission to this program is free, but regular admission applies for telesope viewing and other regular Lowell programming.
