Winter Skies at Big Lagoon
March 28 @ 4:30 pm - March 29 @ 6:00 am
The Escambia Amateur Astronomers host public beach gazes over summer, but in winter we move to Big Lagoon State Park west of Pensacola for twice monthly Saturday public gazes. We set up telescopes to view the moon and planets at first quarter moon, and deep sky work two weeks later. Free to public, with sky charts, sky interpretation, and helping with using telescopes and taking astrophotos provided.
Arrive before sunset to get into park, event goes all night
