Space Science for Schools, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) non-profit education foundation whose mission is to stimulate students to excel in science. In addition to holding regular star parties at Lake Tahoe, Sand Harbor State Park, we provide on-going family oriented hands-on Astronomy education as a certified site of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific Family and Project ASTRO programs. We are affiliates of the UC Davis Tahoe Center for Environmental Science at Sierra Nevada College and provide state certified teacher education in science methods for continuing education. We are a node in the International Year of Astronomy 2009 program with rich opportunities in free programs for all ages.
