Astronomy Squad of Koshi (ASK) is a Nepal-based astronomy initiative dedicated to astronomy education, research and development, and public engagement in eastern Nepal, with a long-term vision of institutionalising astronomy in the Koshi region. It works to build a sustainable ecosystem where astronomy is integrated into schools, communities, and scientific culture through experiential learning, observational astronomy, telescope construction training, citizen science projects, scientific outreach, and school-level capacity building. Beyond public stargazing activities, ASK promotes research-oriented thinking, low-cost astronomical instrumentation, and locally relevant innovation, aiming to transform astronomy from an occasional interest into a lasting educational and scientific enterprise that empowers students and enthusiasts to become active contributors to Nepal's growing astronomical landscape.
