The weekend of April 1112 marks the return of the world’s largest astronomy and space expo with telescopes, cameras, and activities for the entire family.

Now in its 35th year, the Northeast Astronomy Forum (NEAF) at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York is a two-day conference and trade show event organized by the Rockland Astronomy Club featuring more than 120 vendors and presentations by astronauts and astronomers alike.

There’s lots to do at NEAF, from seeing top manufacturers' latest observing and imaging gear, to attending one of many lectures, to viewing the Sun through a host of solar telescopes set up for public observing. The staff of Sky & Telescope will be hosting a booth, so come by for a visit.

This year’s slate of presentations includes several veteran NASA astronauts, including Donald Pettit, Robert Gibson, and Anna Lee Fisher. Other presenters include astronomer Michelle Thaller, Lowell Observatory historian Kevin Schnidler, and Gerry Griffin, the lead flight director for the Apollo 12, 15, and 17 missions.

This year also includes the Northeast Pro/Am Conference (NPAC), which offers free classes to guide amateurs interested in collaborating with professional astronomers.

Astrophotographers can also check out the Northeast Astro-Imaging Conference (NEAIC), which precedes NEAF on April 910 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Suffern. There, you can attend some 28 lectures and workshops by world-renown astro-imagers such as Thierry Legault, Jon Talbot, and S&T Contributing Editor Richard S. Wright, Jr.

It'll be a weekend packed full of experiences, and we hope to see you there!
