2017 Total Solar Eclipse from stormy Kansas City

Description:

We traveled to Kansas City, since it was most economical place to fly in for this event. However, the weather rapidly deteriorated during the morning, and we were extremely fortunate to find a small hole in the impending thunderstorm cloud cover to be able to get these fairly decent images! A few minutes after totality a torrential storm came over with thunder, lightning and hail! What a close call...
