Description:

With scattered clouds for this night and last, I decided to process the better data from Sept 1. Framing was next to impossible to squeeze both M53 and the comet in total. So I had to make a decision as to whether to keep the entire comet in the frame or a little of everything. Not sure if this image was the better decision since the comet is looking quite active and cutoff. Looking at the nuclear region shows a distorted, now tear drop shaped region with a cascading widening plasma region streaming off.
