Description:
Last summer I reached a dream: "NGC6960" (the "Western Veil Nebula" ) and the "Pickering's Triangle" as a "wave of energy" in the constellation Cygnus, shooted from home (I realized in the roof an openable skylight of 1 meter squared)! This spectacular supernova remnant appears as a filamentary region of heated and ionized gas, part of the main "Cygnus Loop Nebula", covering an angular diameter of roughly 3 degrees. The photo has been obtained by integrating 10 hours of signal in narrow bands then post-processed carefully in PixInsight in order to emphasize all details. I wished to collect 20 hours of total integration time but the weather did not let me to reach the goal. However the sky is always there and the adventure continues! Davide Mascoli.
