Description:
This is a neat galaxy. I have to image it just after sunset due to its location in the south horizon and limited visibility I have because of trees and nearby homes. Its diameter is about 90, 000 light years (our own milky way's diameter is estimated at 100,000 LY). It shines at magnitude 8 and it is a little difficult to image from Carbondale due to the high humidity near the ground level. It is a located in the Sculptor constellation. It is estimated that it is about 11.4 million light years away. Information and data form Wikipedia and theskylive.com
