Description:

This is a portion of IC 1396, a large emission nebula in the Constellation Cepheus. It features the rather inaptly named Elephant Trunk Nebula, which is a star making region. Imaged under a bright moon in Ha: 42 mostly 3 minute subs, for a total exposure of 2 hours, 7 minutes. Processed using DSS and StarTools,
