William Optics FLT-110 APO @ f/6.5 (TEC) Losmandy GM-8 Mount SBIG STL-11000 with Astrodon LRG&B filters
The Andromeda Galaxy is a favorite of imagers due to its image scale and obvious structure. This image highlights what is possible with CCD cameras under even the most light polluted skies as it was captured with minimal exposure time from within the city limits of Oakland, CA. 9 minutes luminosity, 3 minutes each RG&B. Captured and calibrated in MaximDL; post processed in Photoshop CS2.
