Description:
The Angel Nebula (also known as NGC 2170) is a stunning, 2400–2700 light-year distant, reflection nebula in the Monoceros constellation, known for its wing-like structures and ethereal blue, red, and orange hues. As part of the active Monoceros R2 star-forming region, it is a stellar nursery where dust reflects light from hot young stars. NGC 2170 was discovered on October 16, 1784 by William Herschel.
