Description:
The sky was slightly hazy with high cirrus clouds, both of which fortunately allowed for respectable photographic detail of both the surface of the sun and its corona. I used Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to assemble this collage. Nik Silver Efex was used for the monochrome conversion. A Nikon Z7 with 20mm f/1.8 lens and Lee 100mm solar filter (except during totality) allowed for a wide field of view and correct placement/orientation of solar images in the final photograph. Individual images of the sun were taken with an Astro-Physics Traveler (105mm f/6 refractor) and a Nikon Z8. The partial phases were filtered with a Baader Herschel prism.
