Description:

When the photons reaching the sensor of my camera left the galaxies in the picture, labeled as Arp 273, our planet had only one continent (Pangaea) and one ocean (Panthalassa). It was the period of the dense and swampy forests of the Carboniferous and the Earth night sky knew only the light of the Moon and the stars and the occasional meteor. Three hundred million years later those photons were met with the barrage of light arising from Earth at night during Anthropocene. It took me more than 10 hours over 11 nights to amass enough photons for these cosmic jewels to take shape.
