Description:
Bodes Galaxy on the right and the Cigar Galaxy on the left. Both are approximately 12 million light years away from Earth. The reddish orange area in the center of the Cigar Galaxy is starburst activity where stars are being formed at a rate up to 10 times faster than in our Milky Way.
