Description:

Bode's Galaxy (M 81) is a bright, grand-design spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. It is about 12 million light-years away. It has well-defined spiral arms and a supermassive black hole at its core. I took the above picture on a moonless night with a IR cut filter and a Starizona .7x reducer corrector on my C8 telescope using 4 minute subs.
