Description:
First picture of 2025 (actually, started in November 2024), returning to shoot objects located in the South after about two years of shooting in the North. I've wanted to take this photo for a long time and the persistence of clear weather in my area between the days before Christmas and New Year helped a lot in completing it. This is the Boogeyman Nebula (LDN1622) which can be identified in the constellation of Orion just to the left of the much more famous Casper Nebula (M78), beyond Barnard's Loop.
