Description:
This image of the Bubble Nebula was shot in city conditions and demonstrates the power of 3 nm narrowband imaging in combating light pollution and pulling out fine details in the image. The blue central region in which the bubble lies is high in ionized oxygen, which was boosted in this image to bring out the blue oxygen colour amidst the strong red glow of the surrounding cloud of ionized hydrogen.
