Description:
This cosmic witch is brewing the stars 900 light-years away from us on the constellation Eridani—or should I say, brewing by the stars? This dusty structure is illuminated by the surrounding bright stars. But just outside the frame, one of the brightest stars in our sky, the blue supergiant Rigel lies. The blue brightness on the right side of the frame is its work on this image, which I dimmed a bit. Surely, this blue light can only be coming from one thing. The witch's cauldron!
