Description:

Seen to best effect between days eight and eleven, I will image Clavius at every opportunity. It offers a wealth of detail for any size instrument, including binoculars. It has the neat curving chain of large craters inside its walls, and is speckled with dozens of smaller craters. There also several craters that sit on or breach its battered walls. The large crater to the southwest wreathed in shadow is Blancanus (106 km).
