Description:

Cocoon nebula is a reflection/emission nebula in Cygnus. The Nebula is approx. 3,300 light years away. This picture was intended to show not only the bright core but the interstellar gas that is forming the stars in this region. Filters used:  Red - 19 x 5 mins = 95 mins = 1.58 hours Green - 19 x 5 mins = 95 mins = 1.58 hours Blue - 19 x 5 mins = 95 mins = 1.58 hours Synthetic Lum - 285 mins = 4.75 hours Ha - 28 x 15 mins = 420 mins =  7 hours Camera used: ZWO ASI2600MM Pro with 7 position 36mm filter wheel
