Description:

From the beautiful night sky at the Julian Star Fest this weekend, this is the Cocoon Nebula (IC5146), located in a crowded field of Milky Way stars within the constellation Cygnus, it rises high overhead during the Summer in mid-northern latitudes like ours. The Cocoon Nebula is almost 15 light-years wide and located 3,260 light-years away.
