Equipment:

Taken through a Meade LX-90 8" SCT at prime focus (focal length 2000mm, f/10), with a Canon EOS350D dSLR at ISO 400, 30 seconds.

Description:

Comet Holmes imaged from the city centre of Singapore where it is a naked eye object. Single frame. At least 3 sections of the comet are visible: the bright point of the off-centred nucleus surrounded by the coma, and then the outer halo. Estimated brightness at mag 2.5 by comparison with surrounding stars, diameter about 6 arcminutes, appears greyish with no other color visible.
