Description:

Comet 210P/Christensen passed within 40 million miles of Earth on Nov 8 and reached perihelion in its orbit on Nov 22 about 52 million miles from the Sun, unfortunately for us Earthlings the comet was too close to the Sun's glare to observe the comet when it brightened to about magnitude 8. On Nov 26 managed to get an image of the comet in late morning twilight when the comet was magnitude 9.5, an image from the morning of Dec 2 shows the comet has faded to magnitude 10.8 as it now moves away from the Earth and Sun. It has a nice short tail, and a yellowish coma probably due to atmospheric interference.
