Description:

On September 24th, we set out to view the comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) during its first visibility in the Northern Hemisphere at a latitude of 36° North. Facing challenges like its proximity to the sun and low altitude, we carefully chose an ideal spot in the Alborz Mountains at over 3000 meters elevation, where the clear sky and gorgeous backdrop of Mount Damavand enhanced our experience. Just 40 minutes before sunrise, the comet appeared, shining brightly, though somewhat subdued against the dawn sky. We look forward to more spectacular displays from this remarkable comet in the coming days.
