Description:

Comet Lemmon on the evening of October 28. The comet's blue ion tail is no longer a thin line but is fluctuating wildly in front of the yellowish orange dust tail. This picture shows only 1 degree of the ion and dust tails as they flow away from the comet's coma. The comets brightness has stabilized around magnitude 4. The comet coma and tails are visible to the naked eye, although the Moon in the evening sky is making them harder to see.
