Magnitude 17 Comet C/2014 W2 Panstarrs is passing about 1/2 degree from the background Globular Cluster M107 which is magnitude 8. The comet is 382 Million miles from Earth while M107 is 20,900 light-years (1 light-year is 5.9 Trillion miles) from Earth. The inset with the comet in the center attempts to show the comet a little better. The comet has no apparent tail in this image but does show a coma around the nucleus.
