Magnitude 9 Comet C/2015 ER61 Panstarrs is only 10 degrees from the 23% illuminated Moon in this 3.9 degree by 2.6 degree image. The Moon's glare shows up as different shades of red, green and blue in the image as its reflections are seen from different atmospheric conditions (thin clouds, pollution, etc) during the collection of each separate red, green and blue image which are combined to make the color image.
