Although it is moving away from Earth for the time, in your wide orbit the comet C/2009 P1 (Garradd) is approaching progressively to Sun, this keeps a slow increasing brightnes placed around 7.5 magnitude, and may be observable through binoculars. Such as you can appreciate at this image, tenuous way, the comet shows a wide and short tail of dust with fan shape, and other tail of gas elongated and stretched.
