Description:
This image of comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) taken July 19, 2020 GMT, shows significant changes from my image taken July 13, 2020 GMT (seen several posts back). The tail points a different direction as the comet proceeds in its orbit around the sun. The tail is no longer bifurcated. Instead, it now shows multiple streamer rays. The coma now glows teal-green, due to the gasses carbon monoxide, cyanide, and diatomic carbon being stimulated by ultraviolet sunlight.
