Description:
Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, on the first night of visibility in the northern hemisphere, was just a few degrees above the communication towers on Bays Mountain in Kingsport TN. The sky was clear, although there was much haze so low on the horizon. The comet was easy to see with 10x50 binoculars, but I could not see it with the naked eye.
