11" SC Telescope and STF-8300M CCD Camera
These 2 images were taken on successive nights of new comet 16.9 magnitude C/2016 N4 Master and recovered comet 18.5 magnitude P/2016 N1 McNaught (339P) passing within 0.1 degree of each other in our night sky. The comets are moving in opposite directions. The images were both 2x300 seconds centered on the same star field. Note how much dimmer magnitude 18.5 is compared to magnitude 16.9.
