Description:
This is the colorful cosmic fireworks above the binary red supergiant star Antares in Scorpius and Ophiuchus, which illuminates the Rho Ophiuchus cloud complex. The image includes two globular clusters (M4 and NGC 6144), at least three reflection nebulas (including IC 4605, IC4604, and IC4603), an emissions nebula next to Alniyat, and a rich molecular cloud and star forming region.
