Description:
TB 1 is one of the most visually stunning yet technically demanding supernova remnants in the northern hemisphere due to its extremely low surface brightness. To do justice to its intricate filamentary structure and the delicate interaction between the expanding shell and the interstellar medium, I dedicated over 82 hours of total integration time over a four-month period. The processing focused on balancing the dominant Hydrogen-Alpha (Hα) signal with the faint Oxygen (OIII) emissions that outline the shell's boundaries, while maintaining a natural, high-dynamic-range stellar field. The primary challenge was revealing the "breach" in the gaseous shell without introducing processing artifacts, preserving the subtle tonal transitions in an object that glows predominantly in deep red.
