The "diamond necklace" is created when the sun illuminates the peaks of the Apennines, the Caucasus and the Alps. Some are already beyond the terminator line and they are the ones that contrast most beautifully. Moon 5 hours after the third quarter, on September 7, 2023 at 05.15, at an altitude of about 60 degrees, in poor conditions.
