Description:

otality occurred about 11deg above the horizon and it was a emotionally exhilarating to the naked eye, especially because it formed a beautiful connection with the Earth (being so close to the horizon). The moon shadow in the sky can be seen as skewed as the brilliant diamond ring after third contact appeared. For this composite I kept the interval between frames at 1 minute which leads to overlapping of the solar disk, this helps highlight the smooth transition of the partial phases but also the change in the apparent color of the solar disk as it got close to sunset. The viewing conditions during the total solar eclipse and the partial phases were excellent, very evocative with the twilight views low on the horizon and a black sun over the silhouette of the Andes left an indelible impression on my mind.
