Description:

The Dumbbell Nebula ( Messier 27) is a planetary nebula in the constellation Vulpecula. The nebula is large and bright, making it a popular target for astrophotoghry. It's aprox. 1200 light years from earth. The nebula is the result of an aging star shedding its outer layers in a colorful display. I took the photo from my observatory using my C8 telescope with a starizona .7 reducer/ corrector with a 7nm duel band filter and a ZWO asi294mc pro camera on a Eqr6 pro mount. It is aprox. 3.5 hours of 4 min. exposures on a moonless night in bortle 4 sky.
